A VINEYARD REHEARSAL DINNER NEAR LAKE GARDa

An Italian vineyard, a candlelit table, and a night to remember.

Anna and Russell, a young American couple, wanted an elegant evening in a setting with an authentic Italian atmosphere for their rehearsal dinner, held the day before their Lake Garda destination wedding. Just a short distance from the lake, a vineyard resort provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration with around 60 guests, combining local charm, colourful floral details, live music, and personal touches that made the evening feel truly special.

The Vision: An Elegant Dinner Among the Vines

The idea was to create a relaxed yet refined evening, surrounded by the beauty of the Italian countryside. With vineyards stretching across the landscape and the lake just a short distance away, the setting offered exactly the atmosphere the couple had in mind: romantic, welcoming, and full of character.

The day began with two different experiences for the wedding party. While the bride enjoyed a picnic among the vines with her closest friends, the groom and his friends spent the morning playing golf nearby. In the evening, everyone came together at the resort's wine bar before gathering for dinner among the vineyards.

The Experience: Live Music, Hand-Painted Portraits, and a Millefoglie Cake

The evening began on the wine bar's veranda, overlooking the vineyards. A live bossa nova performance set the mood for the aperitivo, giving guests time to catch up and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

One of the most personal details was a live artist creating individual portraits of the guests, a thoughtful gift from the couple for everyone to take home. Dinner was served beneath a canopy of branches and fairy lights, with rope chandeliers adding texture and warmth above a long imperial table set for 60 guests.

The celebration ended on a sweet note with a traditional Italian millefoglie cake, prepared on the spot by the pastry chef together with the bride and groom. It was the same pastry chef who would create the wedding cake the following day, making this final moment a lovely connection between the two celebrations.

The Atmosphere: Candlelight, Colour, and Italian Countryside Charm

As evening fell, the vineyard became the setting for a romantic dinner under the lights. The natural canopy, delicate fairy lights, and rope chandeliers created an intimate atmosphere, while colourful floral arrangements and slender candles brought life to the long table.

The overall look balanced rustic Italian charm with an elegant, contemporary feel. Nothing felt overly formal: the live music, thoughtful guest gifts, and shared cake-making kept the evening personal and full of warmth.

It was a celebration of good food, friendship, and the simple pleasure of being together in a beautiful place, setting the perfect mood for the wedding day to come.
